Boston + Cape Cod - since the 1970s

We teach practitioners to see what is actually happening in the room.

Fifty years of Gestalt practice, an ICF Level 2 accredited certification, and a method - the Cape Cod Model - that has been taught on five continents. Every programme below shows its dates, its hours and its price.

The method

The Cape Cod Model

Most training tells you what is wrong and asks you to fix it. The Cape Cod Model starts from what is already working and builds competence from there - which is why it holds up under pressure, in a real room, with real people who did not ask to be changed.

Start from strength

Name what a person or a team already does well, out loud and specifically. Competence is the ground everything else stands on.

Work with what is present

Attend to what is actually happening between people now, not the account of it given afterwards. Presence is the intervention.

Practise, then reflect

Every programme alternates live practice with structured reflection, so the skill is in your hands by the end and not only in your notes.

The pathway

Four stages, and you can join at any of them

Twenty-five programmes is a catalogue, not a decision. This is the order they are meant to be taken in.

  1. 01

    Explore

A free open house, a short online programme, or an introduction to the model. Low cost, low commitment, real teaching.

  2. 02

    Develop

The Cape Cod Training Program - the full method, six sessions across a year, live-online.

  3. 03

    Certify

The Competency Development Program for Coach Certification. ICF Level 2. In person, in Boston.

  4. 04

    Advance

Advanced certification, practicum groups and professional development groups that carry on after the training ends.

Programmes

Every price, every date, in one view

Bring one into focus and the rest step back. Tuition, accreditation, contact hours, faculty and dated sessions - the whole decision, without opening a single other page.

Completing the CDPCC program was transformative, both professionally and personally. The program introduced and deepened my understanding of Gestalt principles and also helped my ability to support clients in creating meaningful and lasting change. The incredible support from my peers and mentor coaches helped me develop tools to approach coaching with greater presence, awareness, and authenticity.

How to join

Four steps, and none of them are a mystery

Certification programmes are applied for, not bought. Here is the whole process, written down, so you know what you are agreeing to before you start.

  1. 1

    Come to an open house

Free, live-online, 90 minutes with the faculty who teach the programme. Not a sales call - an actual workshop.

  2. 2

    Book a consultation

45 minutes, one to one, to work out whether this is the right programme for where you are.

  3. 3

    Apply

An application form and a 250 dollar fee, applied to your tuition. Massachusetts Express Grant funding may cover part of the cost.

  4. 4

    Confirm your seat

Pre-payment discounts and payment plans are available. Cohorts are capped, so a confirmed seat is a real one.
